Mena is a native of Chile but has lived in the Washington, DC area most of her life. She currently resides in McLean, Virginia. An avid photographer, Mena enjoys photographing many forms, but her passion is capturing dance.
Mena has had the privilege of working with prominent dance companies, including The Washington Ballet, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, Ballet West and Shaping Sound. She has photographed renowned artists including Michaela DePrince, Brooklyn Mack, Attila Joey Csiki, Misty Copeland, Travis Wall, Clifton Brown, Adrienne Canterna, and Rasta Thomas. Her work has taken her from the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Theater, Warner Theater, to Carnegie Hall.
Mena also has extensive experience with studio work and photographs nature, city life, landscapes and portraits. Her images have been showcased in books and advertising campaigns.
